Splendido rapace diurno piuttosto comune e facilmente avvistabile nel periodo primaveravile della nidificazione ed in estate nelle zone del Delta del Po, ed a volte anche nelle campagne dell'entroterra.

Beautiful diurnal bird of prey quite common and easily seen in spring during the period of nesting and in summer in the Po Delta areas, and sometimes even in the countryside of the hinterland.
